About Giant Media
“GIANTS is a celebration of vision and compassion.”
Giants is a 13-part made-for-Television series about the visionary and inspirational achievement of extraordinary people in many parts of the world in their work with children who have suffered from poverty, armed conflict, abuse, genocide as well as those children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. These Giants have created ‘normality’ and ‘opportunity’ for such children who otherwise would have been condemned to a life of hunger, crime, illness and ultimately, for most of them, premature death. Instead, these Giants have created an environment where these children have been given the opportunity to lead productive, useful and happy lives.

Each of the episodes will include high profile personalities from the worlds of show business, sport and politics. These celebrities will witness first hand the work and efforts of these Giants and will bring to the viewer a graphic account of the astonishing achievements of these people.
Remembering and sharing. Mandela and Clinton in Robben Island prison.
In addition to the Giants, the final episode features the work of Nelson Mandela for young people affected by HIV/AIDS and the needs of children who are disadvantaged and deprived. His work will be contextualized by former President Bill Clinton.

The series will conclude with a number of major events in each of the countries where the episodes are broadcast. With this, comes a call-to-action! Viewers will be pressed to assist the charities of the Giants featured in the series as well as contribute to a Mandela legacy fund for children through the Nelson Mandela Foundations and other prominent Foundations.

Production of the series commences in July 2006 and this website will feature progress reports on each episode.
